If you just took it off, you'd be locked out. However, for the sid with the XLoc (the XX, right?) The fork relies on the positive hydraulic pressure from your remote to not be locked out. I'll preface this by saying that I don't know about the monarch XX but I have no reason to believe that it would be different. Can I just get the necessary parts to remove it from my Rockshock SID and my Monarch XX or do I have to replace the whole suspension system? I guess I need to remove the banjos and put regular switches back in? Do I need a different compression damper? Does anyone really see any value in having a dual remote lockout if I'm not racing XC? This thing has just been total garbage and I don't want to spend $300+ to replace the f'ing thing. It's like I have to bleed this f'ing thing once a week to fix it just so I can ride on the weekend. Most recently the cable actually came off of the little fitting on the top of the fork because the cable was cut too short to begin with. So now I think I just want to remove it altogether. It's just been nothing but a nightmare for me. If you look at the bottom of the switch there is a staple pushed inside of it and that holds the whole switch assembly together. The switch itself, is held together by a staple. Sometimes it just gets stuck in the pressed position and I can't un-press it. It still doesn't lock / unlock dependably. It has this POS Full Sprint Xloc on it that has done nothing but give me problems since I got the bike. I have a 2016 trek top fuel 9.8 that I'm just using as a trail bike.
